Home Theater Build

I've decided to create a site to show the progress of my home theater build. This is the second time around at building a theater in my basement. The second time around is always more fun since you can do it "bigger and better".

For starters, the space I am building my home theater is under the kitchen and sunroom. The space is about 21 feet long, 12-14 feet wide, with 9 foot high ceilings. The front of the theater is beneath the sunroom, surrounded by 12 inch thick poured concrete walls which limit the width to 12 feet. At about 10 feet, the basement opens up and that is where the 14 foot wide section of the theater is (the seating area).

In the rear of the theater is a small 18 inch wide door that leads to the equipment room. This room is about 5 feet wide and 8 feet long with 9 foot ceiling. All of the theater equipment will be placed here along with the home network equipment.

I'll let most of the pictures do the talking. Thanks for visiting!
